Washing and drying your clothes can now be accomplished in one go. With the Haier HWD1000 Washer-Dryer Combo, there is no longer any need to wash your shirts, skirts, or pants in one machine and dry them in another.
The HWD1000 is a front-loading combo machine that uses the same tub for washing and drying. The tub is a stainless steel drum with 1.7 cu. ft. capacity. It can easily handle 11 lbs. of cotton clothing. The circular glass door allows you to see inside the machine as it washes and dries your clothes.
There are seven fabric care wash cycles you can choose from starting with pre-wash for dirty clothes, standard for ordinary washing, custom for a self-defined program, quick for clothes that are not very dirty, night for nighttime washing, heavy for clothes with thick fabrics, and delicate for cashmere and wool. It has three dry settings at 120, 60, and 30 minutes.
Owing to a special construction that limits moving parts, the machine runs quietly at barely above whisper-level. It does not require a hot vent as it is equipped with a condenser that draws water from the hot air and releases them to the drain of your sink. This allows the machine's use in confined rooms of the house or even boats and RV's. It also allows the machine to be stored in a less prominent location when not in use.
The control panel of the HWD1000 features plenty of buttons for the setting of the machine's functions. With them you can choose the wash program and dry settings desired. You can also set the spin speed from 600 – 1,000 rpm, and washing and rinsing time. With a special setting, the machine can automatically shut off the wash program and shift to drying.
